About us
Shanker Education Society was formed in 1948 and has been named after a great educationist,
social worker, guide and philosopher Maharaj Shankerlal. S.E.S who took great efforts and
started the school on 16th September, 1948 with the objective of providing education, which
was the need of the hour as India had achieved its Independence and imparting education was
one of the main objective of building New Empowered India. Later the school has been named
after Late Dr. M. E. Gujar who generously donated the plot for the construction of the
school building.
The dawn of the second phase of achievement began in the year 1982, when S.E.S. Society
expanded its sphere of education by starting Junior College of Commerce with English as
Medium of Instruction.
As it is said, "Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve." In
the Year 1983, the society started English Primary School to cater the needs of time and
inclination of parents to give education to their children having English as medium of
instruction.
With further growth the English Medium School became full fledged high school in the year
1992.

I, am the parent of Nigel Dias studying in Std. 5A.
I am immensely grateful to the school for firstly giving admission to my child. I am thankful to the class teacher Mrs. Heena Khan for motivating my child and creating a positive atmosphere for my child to grow and develop. A special thank you to Mr. Joseph for taking keen interest in my child and motivating him to participate in extra curricular activities.
My child once upon a time was unable to cope with academics due to the tragedy our family went through. But with all the support we have received from the school I have seen tremendous improvement and hope to see him becoming better by the day. I will hope and pray that one day he will not only make us his family proud but bring laurels to the school and make the school proud. And he can only do this with the support and care your school is and will provide to him.
